CHERYL DUNYE
Director, writer and actress Cheryl Dunye explores issues of race, class, gender and sexual orientation. Combining personal accounts with humor, her films reveal the struggles she has faced, as well as her happiness and pride in being an African-American lesbian. She directed GREETINGS FROM AFRICA (1996), THE WATERMELON WOMAN (Teddy Award 1996), STRANGER INSIDE (2000) and MY BABY’S DADDY (2003).
