Rosa von Praunheim is an icon of the worldwide LGBT scene. From the 70’s onwards, he has been touching taboos and society’s raw points. In Germany, Rosa put in great effort to generate awareness of AIDS.

Amongst his most famous titles are THE BED SAUSAGE (1971), IT’S NOT THE HOMOSEXUAL WHO IS PERVERSE BUT THE SITUATION HE LIVES IN (1971), THE EINSTEIN OF SEX (1999) and RENT BOYS (2011), along with his latest project of ROSA’S WORLD that include 70 new titles, among others KINGS OF PORN and PORNO PETO MEETS THE HOUSE OF GALORE.

Congrats, Rosa!! At this year’s Berlinale 2015, Rosa von Praunheim, who often has been a regular especially at the Panorama section, was awarded with the BERLINALE CAMERA for his achievements in over 40 years of filmmaking.
